Lake Lorna Doone Park

This unique public/private partnership between neighborhood residents, Florida Citrus Sports, and the City of Orlando has produced a $9 million plan. The vision was to create a fitness-focused and family-friendly Lake Lorna Doone Park as the nicest park in the region. In addition, the master plan included the programming of more events, practices, and games at the fields within the park to create sports and recreational opportunities for youth throughout the year. Now, a regional asset as the most accessible ADA park in the City, children with disabilities can enjoy an amenity that is hard to find anywhere else in Orlando. Now open, residents can leverage increased traffic from families enjoying the parks, playgrounds, and green spaces to generate jobs and create small business growth opportunities.
